Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Glype app ("we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application. By using Glype, you agree to the terms described here.

1. Information we collect

1.1. Account information

Email address — used for authentication and essential communication.
Password — stored as a cryptographic hash by our authentication provider.
Username — publicly visible on your profile.

If you choose to sign in with Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we only receive the information you authorize the provider to share (usually name and email).

1.2. Profile information (optional)

Display name, bio, location (free text you provide).
Avatar URL.
Favorite game genres.
Top 5 favorite games.

1.3. User-generated content

Reviews — text, score, tags (completed, contains spoiler, hours played).
Library — games you've added and their status (playing, played, wishlist, dropped).
Comments on other users' reviews.
Likes and follow relationships.

1.4. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect your GPS location.
We do not use third-party analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics, etc.).
We do not track your behavior across apps or websites.
We do not display ads.
We do not sell your information to third parties.

2. How we use your information

To provide and operate the app (authentication, data sync).
To display your public profile and content to other users, per visibility settings.
To personalize game recommendations based on your favorite genres.
To send in-app notifications (likes, comments, new followers).
To respond to support requests you send.

3. Third-party sharing

Glype uses the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:

Supabase (database and authentication) — securely stores your account, profile, reviews, library, comments, and social relationships. Supabase Privacy.
Apple Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with your Apple ID. Apple Privacy.
Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account. Google Privacy.
RAWG and IGDB — we use their APIs to fetch public game information (cover, description, ratings). No personal data of yours is sent to them.

4. Storage and security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers. We follow these practices:

Passwords stored with cryptographic hashing.
Communication via HTTPS (TLS).
Access to your data restricted via Row Level Security — only you can modify your own account's data.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
Delete your account and all associated data — email support (below) and we'll complete it within 7 business days.
Export a copy of your data.
Withdraw consent at any time.

These rights are guaranteed under LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (European Union).

6. Public content

Some information is public by default and visible to any user of the app:

Username, display name, bio, location, avatar.
Reviews marked as public.
Top 5 favorite games.
Favorite genres.
Who you follow and who follows you.

7. Children

Glype is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that data from a child under 13 has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
